A tidbit about the grape(s)/wine style
The first vintage of Domaine Grégoire Hoppenot wines was in 2018. The vineyards are in organic conversion in Beaujolais, made with whole cluster fermentation in concrete, in a style the attempts to let the terrior shine through.
Grapes: Gamay
Region: Morgon, Beaujolais, France
Alcohol: 12.5% abv
Tasting Notes: Red and black currant predominate with tart raspberry and blackberry following. Earthy notes, a hint of cinnamon and a dusty undertone brings balance to the silky fruit. Although it pairs well with life, its vibrant acidity makes this wine a perfect match for food.
Food Pairings: Pork tenderloin, crispy skin duck, roast turkey, bread stuffing
