Celler Pardas Pur Xarel-lo

A crisp, still white wine from Spain's famed Cava region

Commonly blended with grapes macabeo and parallada to make the prized Spanish sparkler, Cava, here Xarel-lo stands out on it’s own in this single varietal still wine. 

Grapes: 100% Xarel-lo
Region: Penedes, Spain
Aging: 1/3 new oak, 1/3 neutral oak and 1/3 concrete egg
Alcohol: 12.5% abv
Tasting Notes: A nose of crushed gravel/chalky flint is countered with citrus and citrus pith on the palate. Racy acidity plays against a touch of bitterness and a round mouthfeel. 
Food Suggestions: roast chicken, buttered shellfish, whitefish, pork tenderloin, white asparagus
